There are some amazing ideas there in the gallery and several people created multiple layouts because the challenge was so much fun! So, I guess we should get on with announcing our winner…drumroll please….and the winner is:

That’s so sweet of you, thank you. Ok, I’ll see what I can tell you about the process I went through!

Firstly, I was inspired by Barb’s awesome ‘The Bees Knees’ LO. I also drew a lot of inspiration from all I’ve learned since joining DS – Linda has taught me well! And the premier tutorials are just fab! Plus, I used some gorgeous scrap papers and other goodies!

The flourish stamp came attached to the frame (freebie by Katie Pertiet)… I just erased the butterflies and recoloured the flourish using hue/sat to match the yummy green b/g paper. I then selected the white frame and copied it to a new layer above so I could custom shadow it (taught in Linda’s Easy Page Design Class) without shadowing the attached flourish too.

I used a hue/sat adjustment layer over the photo and brushed over in black to reveal the green of the dragonfly.

The dragonfly brush (extracted from a photo of mine) was made following the ‘Textured Overlays’ tutorial by Susie Roberts in April Premier and colourised using hue/sat.

For the clipping mask I stamped the rectangle mask (from the ‘Fancy Photo Mask’ tutorial by Linda Sattgast in May Premier) on a layer under the photo a number of times and in different directions, creating a varied opacity.

I took the lyrics from a favourite song of mine by Fleetwood Mac entitled… Dragonfly!

Um, I think that’s about it. Hope that’s what you were after!
