Selective Coloring Challenge

with 1 Comment

We’ve got a fun new challenge for you today: the Selective Coloring Challenge!

Let me explain a little more about what selective coloring is. Selective Coloring is when you take a black and white photo or a sepia toned photo and then colorize some — but not all — parts of the photo. Wanna have a look at what our fabulous creative team came up with?

Aren’t these beautiful? I just love each of them! There are so many great ideas to draw inspiration from with these layouts! I love how Mary & Connie have such a tiny bit of color in their photos, and then the fun style with Shar’s page is so eye catching. Barb did such a fun style of selective coloring on hers – kinda like a hand tint. I love how Rose’s page is just COOL – perfect for a teenager!

Challenge requirements:

  1. Use any kit you love to create a layout using selective coloring in your photo.
  2. Post your individual pages in our Challenge Gallery.
  3. Leave some love for the other layouts in this gallery. (Optional, but highly recommended!)

This challenge is open for approximately 2 weeks. It will officially be closed to new entries on the night of June 19th, 2011 at midnight (Pacific Time).

We will announce the winner and post the winning layout here on the Digital Scrapper Blog, our Facebook page, and in our forum within a week of the challenge end date. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to our Digital Scrapper Shop that can be used towards Photoshop Elements & Adobe Photoshop Video Tutorials and awesome kits and templates!

We can’t wait to see what selective coloring pages you guys come up with! Also, stay tuned for a Pet Challenge Winner to be coming later this week!
