Template Challenge Winner

with 20 Comments

First of all, I just want to say, WAY TO GO, all of you who’ve entered our Digital Scrapper Template Challenge! We’ve had so many people upload their GORGEOUS pages in our Challenge Gallery. I loved seeing the amazing pages posted, and they all had unique things about them.

After going through a ::very:: painstaking process of choosing a winner for this challenge, I whimped out and had to choose TWO WINNERS, lol! There were just too many fabulous layouts! Without further ado…the lucky winners are:

ndalton (page 1):

ndalton (page 2):

AND…

Bobbie Bluegill (page 1):

Bobbie Bluegill (page 2):

Both of these ladies used this template in their own creative way, and their layouts are so different from each other. I love the way ndalton did the reflection on her first page. And I love the extractions Bobbie did on her second page. Not to mention, they both had beautiful photos!

Congratulations, ladies! You’ll both receive a little note from me in your inbox at Scrapper’s Guide with a $10 gift certificate to the Scrapper’s Guide Store!

We appreciate everyone who participated in this challenge and hope you will play with us again for future challenges! Be sure to check out our current Scraplift Challenge.

Happy Scrapping! 🙂

Again, I must say . . . Digital Scrappers offers the most wonderful products to admire and learn from! Having been a member since 2006, I am sure there were MANY that were amazing!

mdalton’s beautifully coordinated colors, the simplicity and the overall serenity the pages evoke are amazing.

Bobbie’s offering, on the other hand, is rugged and outdoorsy(is that a word?), and so wonderful. The warm backgrounds in great contrast to the greens and wintry scenes.

    Congratulations to you both!

Wow I went on a little vacation and when I came back what a surprise! I never ever post on galleries but it has been so fun to see everyone’s different take on the challenge and to be able to comment on other’s posts and get feedback on mine…I think I am hooked. Thanks for all your kind comments and for picking my layout out as a winner…. I am so surprised! Thank you thank you…Nann

great work, ladies! You should be proud! I’m so glad I wasn’t the one having to choose. I love the reflection AND the out of bounds work with the animals, both were inspired techniques. Congratulations on your well-deserved win!

Thank you so much. I feel very honored. There were so, so many wonderful layouts to choose from. I’m glad I didn’t have to pick two.
I had had a rough day and took a few minutes to look at my most favorite scrapbook information website. When I scrolled down the blog and started to see my layout, I just let out a yelp and made my husband come see before I even finished reading the blog. Just thank you again, all of you. Bobbie

Lindsey, I believe that Linda has a video in the store about doing reflections. 🙂 Check it out…it’s actually a pretty simple process.

ndalton mentioned that she used a free action from PanosFX, so you might try looking there. Of course, it can be done manually, too, but that might get you started. I don’t remember doing a tutorial on this exact technique before. Maybe I’m forgetting what I’ve done! lol!
