Project 12 – February 2012

with 2 Comments

Here we are into the second month of Project 12 for 2012! If you haven’t joined us yet, now is the time to get started! It’s so much easier to create your layouts month-by-month, and it is still early in the year!

Here’s a quick explanation of how Project 12 works:

Create a digital scrapbooking layout each month that highlights that month’s activities or experiences, then post it in our brand new Project 12 in 2012 Gallery!

Note: We think you’ll like the way the Project 12, 2012 Gallery is set up this year! Unlike the old 2011 Project 12 Gallery, each month in the new Project 12, 2012 Gallery will get its own category. That way, you can find all the pages about January in one spot, and it will be the same for February and so on as the year continues.

So, when you upload your pages this year, be sure to choose the right category — each page should go in the category for the month that you’re scrapping about on your page, not the month that you finally finished creating the page itself.

Go check out the Project 12, 2012 Gallery today! And when you put your layout up, don’t forget to head on over to the Project 12 in 2012 Forum and post a link to your page so everyone can check it out!

Here are some pages to whet your appetite:

This month we were impressed with this double-spread layout from dimorr. First, the series of photos of the two young people on the second page created such rhythm. Then, by spreading the river across the entire two pages in separate frames, she created a visual impact that would have been impossible if she had just used one small photo. Great work, dimorr!

This layout by ladydrake64 had some wonderful journaling. It was happy and sad and personal — things that will delight her family for years to come. She captured a lot of memories with the small photos on the bottom left hand side of the page and the large photo really draws a person in for a closer look. Great work, ladydrake64!

Each month we like to highlight one Creative Team member. Nann’s double-spread layout is so appealing. The large photo and journaling along the side makes for such a nice, clean, easy-to-read page. She has great photos and her title ‘Love’ just couldn’t have been more appropriate for this month! Very nicely done, Nann!
