How to make a Shutterfly Calendar…

with 11 Comments

Personalized calendars make beautiful gifts for the festive season. It’s such a joy to turn the page each month and see photos of your loved ones!

Our ‘Designer Page’ Video in the December issue of Premier demonstrates how to create a beautiful calendar topper template that you can modify for each month of the year (this one is created with the December Premier 4 Seasons Kit by Micheline Martin Designs):

Once you’ve made all your pages, you need to upload them to Shutterfly to create your calendar. If you haven’t used Shutterfly before, I suggest you watch Linda’s free videos that take you step by step through the process of creating your own Shutterfly Album.

Once you have followed the instructions in those videos, then you’re ready to watch my tutorial on how to set up a Shutterfly calendar.

Have fun creating your calendar!

    Hi Anita.
These DS 2012 Calendars are intended to be printed at home on 8.5 x 11 cardstock. They can then be bound either at home or by a local office supply store.
For more information, search our forums.

I have viewed all of the videos on making a calendar. I purchased the calendar templates from you. I uploaded them to Shutterfly. I worked hard on the calendar “bottoms” from your templates. I can’t see a way to by pass Shutterfly’s built in standard bottom page of the calendar. Did I do all of that work for nothing?? What do I do?? Please help.

      Anita,

Shutterfly has been changing a lot of things on their site and unfortunately that has made it less friendly to digital scrapbookers. We have a team member, Susie, who is an expert in this area, I will have her come look at this and see if she can help you.
Sorry it’s being so frustrating for you.

      Hi Anita
When making a calendar at Shutterfly you cannot bypass their calendar bottom. If you purchased our most recent calendar templates for 2012 they were not designed to be used in conjunction with Shutterfly’s online calendar templates. The two are completely separate products. Our store calendars are designed to by printed as scrapbook pages either at home or commercially. I haven’t downloaded the templates so I’m not sure what the sizes are but I will pass your query regarding printing onto Jen White who designed them for us. Sorry for the confusion.

    Hi Susie,
Thanks so much for your tutorial. I just made a calendar for my mother-in-law who is 93. She has 12 great grandchildren and each was featured in the calendar topper. It turned out great. Wonderful inspiration.

Thank you ladies. I’m giving this calendar to my husband for Christmas. I’m so impressed by the quality of the Shutterfly calendars that we always keep them as photo albums after the year has finished. I created 4 this year (some just with photos rather than scrapbook pages) to give as gifts to my kids who took vacations to Fiji and Tahiti. So they feature photos of their trips. I can’t wait to see their faces when they open them.
