We’d love to introduce you to Krystal Hartley, our Guest Designer for February! She has an amazing design aesthetic and has some wonderful products in our store at Digital Scrapper during the month of February! We had a chance to sit down and talk with Krystal, and here’s the interview:
About You:
Q: Tell us a little about you, your family, your pets, your home.
A: I’m a 42 y/o WAHM in Dallas, TX. My husband Michael and I are approaching 20 years of marriage, and we have an 18 y/o daughter in college and a 13 y/o son. We also have a cat who drives me up the wall when my daughter is away.
Q: How do you spend your time? Are you a hobbyist? Do you volunteer? Are you a workout fanatic?
A: If I’m not buried in Photoshop, you can probably find me doing things with Michael. We like to play World of Warcraft, binge watch series on Netflix, or just hang out and chill.
About Your Designing:
Q: Do you design in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements or another program?
A: I use Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC.
Q: While you are creating, do you listen to music or television or books on tape, or do you work best with silence?
A: I seem to have a pretty good creative rhythm when I have the tunes going.

About Scrapbooking:
Q: Are you a scrapper? Show us your last three layouts.
A: I started scrapbooking when my daughter was an infant, switching to digital when she was about 12. I don’t make time for it nearly as often as I should.
Q: What is your scrapbooking workflow like?
A: My pages tend to be element-heavy, and I like clustering a lot. I will usually pick my background to start, and then I use the built-in script (Load Files into Stack—tutorial can be found here: http://krystalhartley.

Giant “thank you” for the information on using the built-in script (Load Files into Stack—tutorial). I have been using CS6 for 1 year, and didn’t know about this speed saving tip for creating quick page layouts from my Premiere stash of PNG albums. I followed your blog and am also using the tip from Laura: ” I open both Bridge and Photoshop. I then go to Bridge and browse to my kit folder and I select them all. Then at the top I go to TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP>LOAD FILES INTO PHOTOSHOP LAYERS and then over in photoshop you will see it loading them all into one file, as layers If I need them reversed order once its all loaded, then I make sure all layers are selected in Photoshop and I go to the top and click LAYERS>ARRANGE>Reverse.
