New Years Eve 2013 is right around the corner. Do you have your New Years Eve photos from last year scrapped yet? If not, don’t feel bad. I just did mine today!!
While designing my scrapbook page, I came across a free brush set on the Internet and wanted to share it with you. I really love the Grandfather Clock in this set. It reminds me of my grandparents’ house. I also am a huge fan of quality flourishes, so this set was a must-grab for me.

Here’s my scrapbook page using a few brushes from Mel’s brush set. I stamped them on my page in a matching color, then reduced their opacity to make them look more like rub-ons. If you’d like to see a complete list of credits for this page, click on the image below.

Hi Liz. Great question.
One is really not better than the other. It’s just something different and a matter of personal preference.
However, let me talk you into trying brushes on your scrapbook page. . .
• Brushes are automatically colored to your liking——you choose a color before using them.
• Brushes are readily available in every size imaginable——and they don’t loose clarity in larger sizes.
• Brushes are widely available for free all over the web——in millions of styles.
Really, the list could go on and on and on and on. Do a search for “free photoshop brushes” and you’ll be opened up to a whole new world. 😀
