Can you turn a mask into a smart object? I can see there might be an issue with pixelating if the mask is resized a number of times for different pages. What I meant to ask is , “Can you turn a layer mask into smart object?” I know I can turn a mask into one.

Great question, Jane.
No, you cannot turn a layer mask into a smart object. But I can see what you are saying. You are afraid your crisp lines will pixelate. I don’t that that will be a problem unless you transform the mask many, many times. Simply changing the size of it many times before committing the change will not pixelate it. Does that help?
