    Karen,
This is a general comment The comment from akrubygal was a question that I had also. I would love it if the tutorials contained a little more commentary of the “why are you doing that?” Why did you mask the fog areas that you chose? I love the tutorials and classes that I find at Digital Scrapper, but I do think, sometimes, they don’t explain the why’s. I love seeing the steps to accomplish a technique, but I would like to hear an explanation of why you are doing it this way, what does this step accomplish, or what are the alternatives.

Thank you to the whole team for all the great blog tutorials!

Thank you for the feedback, Steph. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I will see what we can do about providing more “whys” in our training. 😀

Hi Karen, thanks for the quick tutorial. What a great addition to a page!

May be a beginner question but I’m curious…..why do you do the technique twice??

    Thank you!

Great question. If you create the first fog layer and are happy with how it looks, creating the 2nd layer is not necessary. Sometimes the fog looks clumpy. By creating a 2nd layer, you can stretch the layer, making the fog less dense (thus less clumpy). You can also move the 2nd layer around on your document to add to the effect. I hope that answers your question. If not, let me know. Thanks for asking.
