Scraps and Sketches Video Tutorial by Barb Brookbank
Use Shapes and the Transform options to create a grid template that appears to be made of scraps of paper. Learn how to create sketched lines to add a bit of handmade charm.

Step One: Access the Video
Premier members can find the video in this month’s Premier Classroom (login required). Non-Premier members can find the video in our shop or can sign up for our value packed Premier membership.
Step Two: Create a Page
Play along with us by creating a digital scrapbook page or greeting card using the Scraps and Sketches video. This challenge will be open for two weeks. You’re going to have so much fun using these clever element techniques!
Step Three: Post Your Page
We cannot wait to see all the creative and clever ways you use this video tutorial! Please post so we can enjoy each other’s ideas!
- Post your finished layout or card in our Scraps & Sketches Challenge gallery. Don’t forget to add credits for the photo(s), supplies, and fonts used.
- The deadline for posting is Sunday, June 1st, 2014, 10PM Eastern.

I learned a lot from watching the tutorial and giving it a try. I stuck pretty much to the instructions for my first attempt but can see lots of possibilities for using the techniques. Thanks!
