Our favorite tradition is one I grew up with and is celebrating St. Nicholas Day on Dec 6th. It’s a Polish Tradition where the night before St. Nicholas fills up their stockings with little gifts. My girls who are now older remind me when it’s St. Nicholas Day anticipating this wonderful day!

Thanksgiving…I love the Fall colors and everything that goes with Fall. I really enjoy spending time with family without all the hustle and bustle of gift giving. It is just a peaceful time. And because society is shoving Christmas at us earlier…I also get a little of the Christmas music during Thanksgiving.

My Favorite tradition to scrapbook is getting our Christmas tree. We get permits to cut it down in the National forest so we get up early and head to the mountains. We have space for a 15 foot tree so there is never a dull moment trying to get it in the truck! We have a tailgater with cookies and hot chocolate to celebrate. We have made a lot of wonderful memories!

My favorite holiday tradition to scrapbook is the Christmas cards that are sent to me. I scrap them every year into a special (non-digital) book, in order to preserve the photos and and wishes sent. The whole book is just these greeting cards through the years, and it’s great to look through it each year to see the changes in families over the years.

I thought a lot about this and I finally have finally decided on my answer to this question. The holidays always bring out the funny dog sweaters, kerchiefs and cat reindeer antlers in my house. I’ve had many “critters” in my life and I have a wonderful collection of snaps and professional photos of every single one of them. Most years, a new outfit finds it’s way into the house. So this has to be my favorite holiday tradition.

My favorite tradition is getting the house ready for Christmas, being with family, watching Christmas movies and making fudge. I love to take pictures of our family in front of the tree to send to our friends and family. There are endless scrapbooking possibilities during this time of year.

My favorite tradition between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the getting ready for Christmas. It always starts with the cleaning, moving furniture, making a place to put the tree, then putting up and decorating the tree and the rest of the house, Christmas music playing in the background. In a day the house is totally transformed, making the time til Christmas truly magical, set apart from all the rest of the year.

The last few years the holidays both Thanksgiving and Christmas Have not been the happiest of times. I have been a full time caregiver for my husband who fought cancer really hard, but I lost him last year. I started to create my Christmas cards using your Christmas card tutorial a couple of weeks ago. I have PSE 2017 so a newer version would be a wonderful gift to win. The tutorial was easy to follow and when I have completed the card I will post a picture. Happy holidays to you and thank you for getting my creative juices flowing again.

My favorite tradition between Thanksgiving and Christmas (outside of my late November birthday, lol) is watching ALL the Christmas movies with my sister and/or daughters… and occasionally, my honey. We have some fun photos of sing-a-longs with my daughters, their daughters, my sister et al… we can get seriously silly… (and we’ve even hooked my older son-in-law into some of the Christmas movie fun :).

It started when I was small. My grandmother lived in Memphis. We visited her every Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we all loaded into the car and went to look at Christmas lights. Our last stop as it was near where she lived was always Graceland. Yes, even saw Elvis a few years, signing autographs for his fans. Graceland was so beautiful at that time of year. So, living in North Carolina, I began the tradition of every night beginning December 1, my daughter and I would take a different route home every evening to see Christmas lights. When we saw a particularly spectacular one, we would take a picture. Those are wonderful memories to scrapbook. Time my daughter and I took to be with each other and enjoy the season.

My favorite holiday tradition begin when our children were small. It is now contiinued with the grandchildren. The tradition is continued on the day that the grandchildren come over to make and decorate sugar cookies and gingerbread men. Afterwards, we have a simple dinner followed by lighting our Advent wreath and recounting the story of Jesus’ birth beginning with the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6. The evening ends with high-spirited games and laughter.

My favorite tradition is setting up the Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving. I choose a theme each year and then take pics of the “work in progress” so I can scrap the transformation and document the themes for each year. This year, thanks to the wonderful classes I have taken, especially Cluster Queen and Word Art, I am going to take all of my pages and turn them in to a movie for us to watch on Christmas Day, complete with wonderful clusters and descriptive word art.

A favorite tradition (there are so many) was and is to help my children and now my grandchildren build a Gingerbread house before Christmas. I get the necessary supplies together and help with getting the walls and roof together. Then they do all the decorating. It is sticky and messy but always fun. With the grandchildren, now there are kits to use and so much easier than when my children were little. I usually scrap one or several photos of the process and the final results.

My favorite tradition is creating our family photo cards and then creating a page of the card, including a letter we may have included with our card (if we did one) or journal the highlights of the past year, along with a few other special items or photos that might sum up the year (ex: birth announcement). I started a basic 12×12 paper scrapbook album in 1990 and as our family has grown, each year I add a page before putting away our Christmas decorations. Our family Christmas album has become one of the first things everyone wants to look at when we get the Christmas decorations out.

There is something so comforting when your home is decorated for the holidays, your cards have been sent, and your gifts all bought and wrapped. I wish that was the case for me. I am always last minute and rushing to finish everything in time for the big day. As the the family matriarch, everyone comes to our house for Christmas, and I love every minute of it. Wish I could say the same for my husband Grinch who mumbles and grumbles the whole month but is the host of the year the minute everybody arrives!

Today my grandchildren, my son, and I made graham cracker candy houses. I took photos at the different stages of production just like I did 10 years ago when my oldest granddaughter made one with other family members. Before creating the houses today we browsed the photo book from 2009. The pages were precious to see, even if the photos weren’t edited well and my digital scrapbooking skills were at a novice level. The photos I took today and will scrapbook soon will look better than 2009’s due to the classes I’ve taken in photo editing and scrapbooking how-to’s. I am grateful that there are people out there who wish to share their skills so others may learn to create meaningful family memories!

That is a good question. I love it all between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My favorite tradition would be when the family gets all together at Thanksgiving, which starts our Holiday season. My favorite tradition at Christmas time is the daily re-telling of the Christmas story. I started it when we had our first child. I made a wall hanger with felt pieces to be snapped on each day to try to keep the focus of Christmas on the coming of the Christ Child. Of course as they children got older they told the story as well as snapped the figures on. We carried on to our Grandchildren too, as long as we are at our house.

My favorite tradition is my family. All 35 of us get together at Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are lots of people and food and fun. I am a grandmother of 21 and they all want to stay over so they can prolong their time with the cousins. Our favorite tradition has always been creating a Christmas village along a wall of our living room. The kids and cousins would place trees and people and pick their favorite structure or section, which often changed because we’d add new items every year. The kids are scattered now and don’t always get home, but they love the pages I make of their childhood memories and send as digital or physical cards–seeing themselves through the ages and watching the village grow.

A grandson’s birthday is the day after Christmas, and he & I have started a tradition to go to a kid-friendly movie and then get ice cream. We take photos of each other and they become a scrapbook page of memories that I hope he never forgets.

I have completed about a dozen classes at Digital Scrapper. I have been a Premier member since it was Scrapper’s Guide and I have saved all the kits, videos, and tutorials that I received each month. The more I learn from these classes makes me look at previous tutorials in my ‘stash’ and discover that they make more sense to me now. I can complete them and add new elements to my scrapbook pages and projects. Right now, I am creating a Shutterfly book for my husband who went on an Honor Flight in August.

I always love to record who’s sitting around the table at Christmas dinner. I take head shots of people in pairs…..I make them lean in together and that always makes them smile. Then I make a scrapbook page of my friends and family and I mail the printed 8.5×11 layout to everyone after Christmas. My extra gift to them. Favorite tradition is going to church on Christmas Eve with family, coming home to a dinner which includes a recipe my made, called Chicken Little Fingers, and watching my daughter, no matter how old she is (currently 42), search and pick out under the tree, for the one present she wants to open.

I see that a few people have the tradition of buying a special Christmas ornament for every year. That is also my normal tradition. However, I have so many ornaments, I can’t use them all on the tree. So I am going to start a new tradition.
I will pick a family that has needs and give them a special Christmas gift.

When my children were growing up our favorite tradition was to pick out a tree ornament that represented something that was significant to them that year. Our tree now looks rather bare since the ornaments have gone to them in their homes to become part of their traditions.

My favorite tradition is Christmas Eve. Our dinner is Swedish sausage that we have made in advance. The younger members of the family think the adults aren’t eating fast enough. Presents are opened after dinner. Seeing the delight, or sometimes disappoint, as the packages are opened. Only one person opens gifts at a time.

Every year, prior to 1 December, I love to scrap photos of Alf the Elf, and Ellie the Elf for my grandchildren. This year I have placed the elves in a sleigh and placed text in a flag to tell the grandchildren the elves are on their way to play, so look out for them.
I send the photos through the post anonymously, with a Santa Clause label, and the joy I receive, when four excited grandchildren phone to tell me what they have received in the post from Santa and that the elves are on their way to share in the fun of Christmas preparations. How sad I will be when they are too old to believe! Lets hope they keep on believing!

My birthday is on Christmas, so until the last few years my favorite part of celebrating was going to a Christmas Eve service with my family. They’d jockey to sit next to me so when the chimes hit 12 at midnight, they could be the first to tell me Happy Birthday. As they’ve grown and moved away, the tradition changed to seeing who would make the first phone call, without getting a busy signal, which meant they’d lost. My favorite part of Christmas Day is taking a group picture around the tree and singing Christmas carols. Three people are currently taking piano lessons so the last few years have included their playing while we sing.

I appreciate all the classes at Digital Scrapper that I’ve taken over the years. I’ve learned so much that my pages have improved by leaps and bounds. My current favorites are Perfectly Personal Word Art by Jenifer Juris, Passion for Paper by Syndee Rogers, and going back a little, A Year of Cards by Jenifer Juris and Summer Harvest by Jen White (learning to use a watercolor action). Give yourself the gift of learning with Digital Scrapper. You won’t regret it.

my favorite tradition is just having lights and tinsel on the tree…some years I’ll add ribbons, some years I’ll also add bows; but most years it’s just lights (usually white) and silver tinsel. I started just putting the two items on the tree when I was still working, and after my mom passed. For the past 46 years (when our first born was 6 months old), we have celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve. We have our big meal around 5:00 immediately followed by “The Tree” and all that entails. We tried once to change it when our boys were adults … but tradition is tradition. We still celebrate this way and Christmas Day is a relaxing day after Grandpa has cooked breakfast for all of us. We are so blessed to have our children and grandchildren living close enough for us to be able to celebrate every year with them and our dear granddaughters. Family is everything!

Everything I love about Thanksgiving and Christmas is about faith and family. Every year our family and some friends that are like family gather together and have food and laughter. We share stories from the recent months and stories from the past. Just before we dine we always gather around into a large circle holding hands around the room and give thanks for all the wonderful things we enjoy. Our children are grown and we now have the wonderful gift of 5 grandchildren . Both of those days are so special for the photos because they are the only 2 days a year when we have everyone together at the same time.

My favorite Christmas and Holiday tradition is to create a yearly newsletter to share with family and friends. I started this tradition in 1978 and have done it every year since then except for one year. That particular year was too painful to put into words so I gave myself a break for one year. I think I can go back and do it now about 15 years later. At times our lives are painful to record but we must do it anyway because it might be helpful for our posterity. Doing this newsletter is more important to me than any Holiday tradition, celebration, or decoration. When I only have energy for one thing at Christmas, this is what I choose to do. I try to concentrate of the events of the year, what I have learned, and what has brought me joy.

I really appreciate the classes from Digital Scrapper because of the Forever feature. My health is challenging so I can tap into the lessons any time I want. I have enjoyed them all very much. None of them are completed but I never get bored taking and viewing the classes over and over again.

I went out and bought a small tree and the kids decorated it with paper ornaments! I love remembering who has given me my special ornaments, many are no longer with us. When my kids were young I would tell them who had given them which ornament and then they would go hang it on the tree. I love that today, even in their late 30’s, they know the history of their ornaments.

My favorite tradition is one I call “lighting the forest”. We light about 28 trees along the driveway leading to our cabin in the woods. Once lit, my nightly walk is a peaceful time among the holiday rush. It brings neighbors to our door to celebrate the holiday season. Once I found the secret to photographing the holiday lights, taking pictures at twilight, the scrapbooking possibilities became endless!

Currently, as I am totally alone, I have no traditions at this point. In the past, when I was raising my children, we would decorate our large, lovely home and I would make holiday decorations even for each bedroom door, the hall stairway, each room, and the outside long driveway. I am going through boxes of photos that I’ve saved through the years, making Digi-pages of memories to leave…in case anyone ever wants to see them…

I would have to say that Christmas is my favorite holiday. One of our favorite activities is to pair up the grandchildren and then send them out into the immediate neighborhood to go on a Photo Scavenger Hunt. An example of something they are to find is “something with a hole in it”. They are to take a picture of it. They are to be creative in their photo (which is the fun part). When we all come back to the house, we share our pictures on our tv. Ultimately the pictures get into an annual scrapbook created using our wonderful digital scrapbooking hints. The kids pore over those books every time they come over.

While I LOVE Christmas and all it has to scrap, my very favorite is Thanksgiving scrapping. Our family has so many traditions that help us all remember to be thankful for all we have. Each year we come up with a new way to share what we’re most thankful for. I try to capture each of the grandchildren sharing their thoughts. I love to hear their gratitude’s mature each year. I have a scrapbook for each of the seven grandkids and each year I add a page of their “thanks”. They can look back and remember what they said each year. This tradition is always a good reminder of what the holiday season is all about. I must also add that my pages get better each year thanks to the WONDERFUL tutorials from Digital Scrapper…and I am always thankful for that! I wish all my scrapping friends the very best of this holiday season. Remember to be kind!

Every year after Thanksgiving we go together and cut our Christmas tree at a neighboring tree farm where they serve hot cider and cookies. We love wandering through the forest of trees to select that one very special one that will come home with us that year. Then we put on the Christmas music, fill the Santa mugs with hot chocolate and bring out our box of ornaments, so many of which are tied to special memories or are family heirlooms and decorate the tree. We also do our traditional Christmas baking of different kinds of biscotti that we package up and send to family and friends. It’s a time of togetherness and very special memories!

We have a lovely tradition here in our neighborhood. We live near Camp Pendleton (Marines) and on the first Saturday in December, after dark, we have what has become known as the Boat Parade. This has been happening for the 23 years that we have lived here. It benefits the Marines’ Toys for Tots. People who own boats decorate them with lights and sound and the parade has expanded to include golf carts, pickups, and every manner of transport…even horses on occasion, as there are quite a few horse owners in our area. The Marines are always present, walking along vehicles that resemble tanks, accepting our toys. The parade after 9/11 was especially moving: A Marine in his dress uniform was the grand marshal and was standing on the bow of the lead boat. Brought tears to our eyes. Well, just seeing the ones walking alongside their vehicles brings tears to my eyes. So many…so young. Neighbors bring out their firepits and we gather ’round, catching up with each other. A sweet time, which I’ve scrapped on the old website.

My favorite tradition revolves around family photos & videos. It’s the rare time that we’re all able to be together in the same city at the same time. We always take advantage of the time to take pictures (or make movies) which we later share with each other. This also opens the door for us to pull out scrapbooks, albums, and movies from previous years and share our memories of those times …. and what was REALLY going on in some of those pictures! A lot of talking, stories, and laughter ensue.

Traditions change when your children are grown and have their own families. Now I enjoy going to Christmas Eve Mass with my daughter and family, staying overnight at their home and being there in the morning for all the present opening. The girls are teenagers now and it is still as much fun looking at their delighted faces and many smiles even though they do not believe in Santa. Sometimes Christmas eve is spent with the others grandchildren that are now married and have little ones so it is fun to watch them sprinkle the dust in the driveway so the reindeer know where to stop. Even though I no longer drive around with the children to see the many homes decorations, my neighbor and I still make sure we do get out one evening before Christmas to do that.

My favorite Holiday tradition is planning for the larger family day of celebration. Each year I plan games and photo shoots (groups, activities, silliness) that everyone can participate in and then add the photos to an ever-growing file that gets shown at the next year celebration. Alas, soon the ever expanding family, currently at 30+, and the passing of the elders and my own increasing age will change the future participation, but each family will have a digital copy of the Christmas events of their past. I even include the names of the family members on the digital scrapbook pages so that the “who is that” doesn’t get lost for future generations.

One of my favorite things about Christmas are all of the baked goodies. It started with making chocolate chip cookies for my husband, when it was just the two of us newlyweds. It progressed to having our son help me make and decorate sugar cookies, while he was standing on a chair. Times have changed again and most of my baking is making goodies to take to all of the neighbors on our cul-de-sac. Of course there still are chocolate chip cookies and if our son and his wife come, the sugar cookies!

My favorite is painting cookies. The whole extended family gets together to paint/decorate shaped sugar cookies. Usually 20-25 of of us paint cookies using paint made from powdered milk and canned milk, mixed to the right paint consistency , and colored with food coloring. Of course, one feature of the card is a photo of my husband as Santa’s Helper, which he was for many years. Thanks to the Selections 1 and 2 courses I took, twice now I placed him in Santa workshop scenes and, next year, I will place him in a snowy North Pole scene, similar to what I did in the book I made about my husband as Santa’s Helper – with kudos to Linda Sattgast for her course on Picture Perfect Gift Books. I also create Return Address Labels and Personalized Postage Stamps with my own Santa’s Helper on them. Finally, I use elements from various Christmas themed kits to make multiple different gift package labels – striving to vary all of these each year. It’s a Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

I never know when they will be here, but I always get a visit from children and grandchildren sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Digital Scrapper has been so instrumental in my scrapbooking journey and the classes have been invaluable in helping me learn to preserve these precious family memories. Merry Christmas, Jen (and the entire staff) – this Thanksgiving, you are on my list of things to be thankful for.

Christmas is my favourite holiday to celebrate and scrap. Traditionally we have a festive afternoon of games or playing outside if weather permits, we enjoy a delicious meal with portions of meal brought over from every family and then we sit and play a open the gifts type game. It is a very relaxing day where everyone makes an effort to attend. It is wonderful to hear the grandchildren talking about the ‘Christmas traditions we do every year’ . And of course I take lots of pictures!
Merry Christmas 🎄 and thank you to Digital Scrapper for the amazing classes and this chance to win some great prizes.

As my children have had children of their own and I transition into juggling career with becoming the caregiver for elderly parents and a mother suffering through Alzheimer’s, I find myself unable to attend as many family activities as I used to. But the kids are avid photo takers, so I vicariously share their activities through their shared photos which I scrapbook. I am creating photo albums for each of my grandchildren about their activities. Even though their own mothers scrapbook, I hope that my grandchildren will treasure something unique created by their grandma even though their mom already scrapped it. And because of what I am learning with Digital Scapper’s classes, I can do it!

I enjoy Christmas and all the events around it, but I think I love Thanksgiving more. It is simple and so family focused without all the other extras that can be exhausting, so I guess that would be my favorite tradition to scrap. I do like trying to get good photos of Christmas lights which seems to always be a challenge!
I have taken so many classes at Digital Scrapper and am so grateful for all I’ve learned. So many great instructors through the years! My favorite and most helpful classes probably would be QwikLearn PSE, Cluster Queen, Get Organized Now and the 2 Easy Page Design classes but this is just a few. After the deliciousness of Thanksgiving, the adult grandchildren dig out all the cookie recipes that have been handed down from the last two generations, (my grandmother and mother) and getting all the preparations ready. I have laminated these recipes so I don not have to re-print them each year. Those great-grandchildren (boys and girls) who are old enough to participate get their aprons on and the fun, laughter, singing and “mess” begins. I have MS and even though I may not physically feel like participating (which is just watching and adding my two-cents worth from time to time), the memories that are created from these wonderful times together, fills my heart to overflowing and I have to wipe away a few tears. I am so thankful to have these precious memories, not only for me but for them also.

I cannot say enough about the DS classes that have helped me though very difficult times. Because my memory and retention of information has been affected by MS, I force myself to keep on learning and I am very pleased when I have accomplished techniques and produced layouts that the family loves. That’s my reward. As long as I can, I will keep on taking the classes.

Almost every Christmas there is some gift for a family member that doesn’t arrive on time. We then write a humorous poem about the gift and the recipient is required to read it. It has become so much fun that we don’t mind a bit if the gift is late arriving.

Because my children live at a distance and that my grandchildren are grown, we have an old fashioned horse drawn sleigh ride that involves singing and strumming the ukulele, a stop for hot chocolate and marshmallow roast over an open fire in the fresh crisp outdoors…that’s my favorite Christmas season event to scrap.
I’ve been unable to participate in many classes of late, however, all classes that I purchased have been most beneficial. I appreciate the clarity of instruction, the speedy response to any questions I may have had and I definitely thankful that I can download the classes and have them available off-line.

My favorite tradition and one that I have scrap booked for so many years is Christmas. We celebrate on Christmas Eve with a big dinner. After dinner and the dishes are done, we join hands and dance around the tree while singing carols, both in English and in Danish. We then settle in and open our gifts. It is so fun to see how the kids have changed and how in their later years, they have invited their partners to join us. I have the last year that both by mom and mother-in-law were with us as the following year they both passed away. I cherish each and every page and it’s a pleasure to share with all the family that we have at our table each year.

Fun Christmas light displays viewing has been one of our long-standing traditions. In our previous location we went to see the display at the zoo every year. We relocated a few years ago and the Christmas lights displays are pretty incredible here too if you know where to look – and thanks to the local paper they aren’t a secret. So a page or two about which of the houses we’ve seen on the Tacky Lights Tour this year has become a staple in the Christmas album.

FOOD! Each year I make a few pages that include a recipe that I or a family member makes for the holidays. I include vintage photos of the cook and other family members as well as the recipe and a photo of the food. A few years ago, I gave both my daughters wrought iron scrapbook page holders that you can flip the pages on. So, each year they each get a page or two to add to the collection. Their stands hold 6×6 pages and mine holds 12×12 pages. I save money by combining two smaller and the large page and have printed in a larger format (12×18) that I simple cut up.

My favorite tradition is trimming the tree and all the rest of the house. Our favorite tree decorations, beside the sparkly lights, are all the decorations that I have made (quilted, crocheted, knitted, etc.) and all the decorations that extended family have given us. Instructors go back and add updates as different Photoshop and PSE updates come out that alone is priceless. The classes are available in separate courses for Photoshop and PSE and that for a PSE user that is what originally motivated me to try my first class here.

My favorite thing about both of the holidays is having all my kids together at my house! Of course the Thanksgiving traditional meal of turkey & dressing is always a plus & I can’t wait.
I will gush on the classes — just wish I was more disciplined to get through them all.

I like to scrap a family photo – usually taken at Thanksgiving but I use it with a Christmas background. I love all the classes offered by Digital Scrapper – there’s so much to learn in each one!

My favorite tradition to scrap is going as a family to the tree farm and cutting down our Christmas tree, bringing it home, and decorating it, while listening to Christmas music. Thank you for the chance to win these amazing giveaways!

My favorite holiday tradition is putting up the Christmas tree that my 90 year mom bought for me to remember her. She passed away 2 1/2 years ago. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to give. When I put it up it’s just like she is in the room with us. Magical moment lighting the tree.
Love all your classes. So easy to understand. I just need more hours in a day.
    Happy Holidays to All

Our favourite Christmas tradition is “Running away”. Our grown children live on the other side of the world to us, so DH and I travel within our own country, normally to the south so we can get away from 40 degree celsius temperatures. We go to a different town or city every year and spend about a week experiencing what that place has to offer tourists. I have been known to take almost 3,000 photos in that week each year.
By the time we’ve tried every place available I will have scrapped most of Australia. Every Christmas is a new experience!

I have had to take over two years off my scrapping as due to injury I was unable to sit at my computer, but now I’m back and joy of joys my classes have waited for me! I love every one of them and appreciate beyond belief that the they and the teachers are still there for me! I have had a lot to catch up on! Scrapping is now my full-time job! Thanks to the Digital Scrapper Crew and all of the very generous class participants who are happy to share their knowledge and beautiful work.

My favorite holiday tradition is when my granddaughter comes over to spend the day crafting and making holiday treats. The day always ends up with a huge mess in the kitchen and the craft room all the while lots of laughter and silliness all day long while we are making it. The best compliment was my granddaughter telling me she looks forward to coming over because she laughs so hard she can’t breathe. She only laughs like that with me. The phone photos of all of it is priceless.

Thanksgiving Dinner! The family, friends, and , of course, yummy food that is cooked by my younger sister and my niece. There has to be some perks to being part of the OLDER generation…lol!

How can I gush about just one class. Since I started taking classes with Digital Scrapper I have learned so much. I started with Mastery Class 1 and refer back a lot to this class. The other class I absolutely love is Perfectly Personal Word Art, an absolute must for anyone wanting to learn anything. Thanks to our amazing teachers at Digital Scrapper I’m even more addicted to scrapping

I love to scrap the details leading up to Christmas. How we always celebrate with the family on Christmas Eve night, and what has stayed the same or changed within our holiday decor… new ornaments, lights, etc.

We do breakfast on Christmas morning for all the “orphans” in our life – those friends that can’t be with their family on the day. Ham & eggs on the BBQ and Bloody Mary’s just to start the day.
Thanksgiving isn’t really celebrated here in Australia but Christmas is very important and is a great family event.

Unfortunately I can’t gush too much over the classes as I haven’t yet been lucky to partake in one. Maybe this might be my opportunity!!!
Thank you for all your inspiration

I like to scrap about the things we do…playing games, sledding, cooking, eating, telling funny stories, new babies, and the myriad things we do when we’re all able to get together which is isn’t often these days. I learned everything I know about PS from Digital Scrapper. The lessons are WONDERFUL. They’re concise, easy to follow, well thought out and always give more than expected.

I love to scrap about my Christmas shopping – my ideas, what I buy, inspiration, wrapping and ribbons that I’m planning to mix and match, and the finished product.

So, every year my family has a tradition of a scavenger hunt to find the ball of cash. It is typically the last “present” to open. My boys, who are teenagers now, 16 and 14, look in the tree to find the first “clue.” They then proceed to follow the clues until their ornament ball of cash is found. This tradition keeps my husband and I on our toes as we try to make the clues harder and different each year as the boys age. It’s fun to watch the boys think and try to outsmart one another all while having a great time.

My favorite holiday tradition to scrapbook about is Christmas Day when everybody comes over for dinner and opening presents. Always fun to see the kids and most of the family together.

Because I live in Australia we don’t have Thanksgiving so I just absolutely love Christmas Day, and that’s what I love to Scrapbook about, watching my 4 Grandchildren opening their presents and seeing the look in their eyes, when they get to see what’s been unwrapped. Its so exciting for them and me, and its something that I will never tire of, these moments are precious and its those memories that when scrapbooked will last forever.
Thanks for allowing me to enter this great competition, I haven’t been a Digital Scrapper member for long and I now own a few classes which I am loving everything about them all.

My favorite tradition is displaying and seeing the Christmas Story advent wall hanging (handmade by my sister-in-law) become complete as we add a new element each day.
