November Premier—Student Showcase
by Jen White

Our November 2016 issue of Premier was a mix of magic and beauty.

  • In Story with Triptychs we learned how to create a triptych design that not only looks good but that also creates an interesting story.
  • In the Artist Glow tutorial we pumped up the color and added a glow to a photo for a quick artistic effect!
  • In Rainy Day Window we learned how to create the effect of looking through a window on a rainy day with the raindrops in focus.
  • In the Wood Block Letters tutorial we learned how to create wood block letters and use them to design a terrific title!

The Student Showcase

Below you’ll find a showcase of the best examples by our students from November 2016 Premier. These examples will be placed in a gallery inside the November 2016 Premier issue.

My Top Pick

Raindrops by xiaofano was a real eye catcher in the gallery this month. I adore how she artfully combined a realistic scene with scrapbook-y elements. The shadows fantastically done and the rain scene is perfect. Well done, xiaofano, and congratulations. ~Jen White
