The Mighty Mask—March 2016 Premier
by Linda Sattgast

In our March 2016 issue of Premier—The Mighty Mask—we created artsy effects using clipping masks, blending techniques and the Displace filter.

The Student Showcase

Below you’ll find a showcase of the best examples by our students from The Mighty Mask mini class.

These examples will also be placed in a gallery inside the March 2016 Premier issue AND they will become part of the classroom that will eventually be available as a full class at Digital Scrapper and possibly other affiliate websites.

My Top Pick

When I first went through The Mighty Mask gallery, I chose so many images that I wondered how I would be able to narrow them down. It just shows you what a great job class members did on the masking lessons!

In the end I kept coming back to Want To Go For A Ride? by slewerenz. The shiny antique car was photographed for maximum impact, and the masking left just enough hint of the background to wonder where reality ended and blending began. I also liked the 3D effect of the frame and the fun calligraphy font. Excellent job on your image, slewerenz!
