One of the most popular scrapbooking techniques is to blend photos, papers, and even embellishments into the page. It’s one of my favorite techniques and can be used on any style of layout, whether it’s artistic using paint or soft and pretty using florals and patterns. In this lesson we are going to create a blended overlay using the Text and Gradient tools!

Take advantage of the possibilities of digital scrapbooking to take a photo from flat to fab! Add depth and dimension to your page and bring focus to your subject by popping it right out of the photo.

Challenges vs. Premier Top Pick

Did you know that pages you have made specifically for challenges can also be considered for the Premier Top Pick? You can post them in both galleries when you upload your pages. If your page isn’t a challenge winner, you’ll have a second shot at it with the Premier Top Pick.

July 2015 Premier Top Pick

The July 2015 Premier Gallery was so chock-full of stunning pages that it made choosing the Top Pick this month extremely challenging. I loved seeing so many pages with more than one tutorial featured on them. In the end, we couldn’t look past the layout by magical44, called Wonder Boy.

The sharpness and clarity of the main photo, along with the great pose against a striking backdrop of rustic rocks, won the day. The additional smaller photos, using the template from Jen White’s Geometric Greetings Video Tutorial, created a well-balanced design. Congratulations, magical44.

I Think there is such wonderful talent at Digital Scrapper, we are all learning a lot from the Video’s and Tutorials, we get and master. I say Thank you, to all the instructors. I did not start Digital scrapping until I took Linda’s PSE 11 class. Then I got brave and joined Premier, and now if I had a brain that could remember I wouldn’t need a cheat sheet. But I do! And Thank you all for sharing your knowledge with all of us. Everyone is doing such great pages now I think it is hard to judge because all the pages are so special, just like all in this class. Great job to every one who posted!
