Finding the Face of Autumn Photo Contest

with 10 Comments

Help us find the face of autumn. We want YOU to be the next smiling face to adorn the cover of our Facebook Fan Page.

Thanks for participating! The gallery has been closed. Visit our Facebook Fan Page.

During the last several weeks of September 2013, we’re hosting a contest called Finding the Face of Autumn.

It’s really easy! Simply post a photo in the Finding the Face of Autumn Contest gallery at Digital Scrapper. The staff at Digital Scrapper will then choose a winner and use it for our Facebook Cover Photo for the month of October. It’s really that easy!

Here are all the contest details:

Photo Guidelines—Please Read

We don’t need just another pretty picture—we want to see you and your smiling family—real people doing real things. No stock photos or copyrighted photos will be allowed.  Making adjustments to the look of your photo is okay, but please do not add any word art, overlays, frames, papers, or embellishments. Because of all the crazy fine print involved with publishing photos, we ask that your photo submission only include you, your spouse, and/or your dependent children.

The Finding the Face of Autumn Contest Gallery

Everyone will want to see all the super fun submissions, and we’ll be wanting to keep them all in one place. So please post your photo in our Finding the Face of Autumn Contest gallery. Never posted in our galleries before? No problem! Here’s how. Posting a photo into the Finding the Face of Autumn Contest gallery implies permission for us to use your photo.

Posting Deadline—Wednesday, Sept 25, 2013

We want to have your smiling face posted on our Facebook Fan Page page right at the beginning of October. Because of that, we are asking that all submissions be in the Finding the Face of Autumn Contest gallery no later than Wednesday, September 25, 2013, Midnight EDT. Late entries are welcome, but will not be considered for the contest.

The Chosen One

The staff at Digital Scrapper will do the hard part of choosing a winner. We will base our decision on the three Cs—composition, clarity, and creativity. Runner ups will also be recognized throughout the month of October in our weekly newsletter and on Facebook.

Stay Tuned to See Who Wins

The winner of the contest will be announced in the Digital Scrapper News and on our Facebook Fan Page on Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

Questions can be forwarded to Darcy Baldwin at darcy@digitalscrapper.com.

A few but not too many? Is that vague enough? Enter as many as you feel work for the contest, but not more than 5.

So you are saying no grandchildren. Do I have to be in the photo?

    Two questions —
    1. Does it have to be one taken in 2013? It doesn’t even look like fall here right now.
    2. Can it be a blended photo or one that was touched up a little bit.
I have a photo of our daughter that I would like to use, but it is an old one & the lighting isn’t the greatest. After taking Linda’s AOB class, I think I can make a super entry with it, but I do want to follow your rules & guidelines.

Thanks for asking, Ann! Both are fine!

      Hi Ann. 😀

The date on of your photo does not matter, so feel free to dive into your piles of images.

Making adjustments to the look of your photo is okay, but please do not add any word art, overlays, frames, papers, or embellishments.

Looking forward to seeing your submission!
